Therese Weber

is a professor for visual Arts at the University of Northwestern Switzerland Basle and enjoys international recognition as a free lance artist. Her work is represented in private collections and public institution.

Her experience in foreign continents, invite contrasting comparisons. Therese Weber’s pictures, which combine effective representations with monochrome patches of colour, are elements of modern technology and at the same time reflect the spirit of age-old tradition; they bring with them a double experience of time and perception. She translates the process of paper pouring and dipping, which originated in Asia as records of her observations on her travels through the world, into an individual language of images and form. She has been researching and writing for many years.
